Welcome to Guitars a great source for one-of-a-kind unique specialty guitars.  I take pride in providing high quality instruments to real players who appreciate the finest total experience of professionally assembled and configured electric guitars and basses.  Here you will learn about the opportunity to acquire precision handcrafted guitars and bass guitars intended exclusively for professional players, celebrity players and collectors who appreciate the uniqueness of superior stringed electric player guitars and bass guitars - these instruments are not like anything you can buy at any music store, these are truly, one-of-a-kind high end axes!

A begins as a custom made or hand selected body.  A custom body could have very rare woods or be of a design unlike any standard.  A hand selected body is chosen for it's high quality looks and finish or may be a rare old body that has been totally stripped, reconditioned and refinished for a unique, yet seasoned hardwood aged player guitar.

Next, a mates a superior neck selected from exclusive supplies of handmade precision crafters or high end manufacturers such as Warmoth Custom Shop.  Generally my necks are made of rare hardwoods like Purpleheart, Wenge, Pau Ferro, Mahogany and a few Maple woods.  The necks often have jumbo stainless steel or quality nickel-silver frets for extreme ease of playability.

My nickel-silver fret wire is drawn from the finest 18% hard nickel/silver to give long life with steel strings. The composition of this fret wire, while called "nickel/silver", contains no silver at all. The ingredients are brass and nickel.

A few of my necks have an exclusive Stainless Steel Fret Wire for that extra slick feel along with super smooth bending and playability, this is the "stuff"!  Stainless steel is harder and it's life expectancy is much longer than standard fret wire.  You'll like it!

electronics are the heart and soul of these one-of-a-kind player guitars.  These guitars are made to be played and bring you an array of voicings by using the best pickups suited for the sound design selected.  Often hand-wound or custom rebuilt and placed in combinations to obtain classic clean sounds, plus the newer crunch voicing used today.  The variations in tones are often from the use of splitting coils on humbuckers together with reversed wound single or stacked coiled pickup in a middle position.  Jimmy Page and Robert Plan fat Gibson sounds and Stevie Ray Von / Jimi Hendrix Strat sounds can come from a single guitar using an exclusive heavy duty 5-way switching.  Here are three clips of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant: Dancing Days, 10 Years Gone and Robert Plant.  Here are two clips from Stevie Ray Von:  Say What and Texas Flash.  Here are three clips from Jimi Hendrix: Voodoo Child, All Along the Watchtower and Star Spangle Banner.  I also use varitone switching made for Guitars in Germany to achieve up to 12 unique voicing out of a single guitar!  Varitone 5 and 6-way switching became popular by B. B. King with his famous guitar, Lucille.   Here are two clips from the infamous B. B. King and his Lucille using a Varitone switch on two humbuckers: Lucille Talks and You Done Lost Your Good Thing

CMT CANADA

[CMT.ca is Canada's #1 website dedicated to country music.]

CMT CanadaCMT Canada says "if you think country bands sound alike...you haven't heard Shilo. The five member band is hotter than coffee fresh out of the pot! They are natural entertainers and will keep you on the edge of your seat or on the dance floor until the last word of every song has been sung! Their energy level is second to none. They drive hard whether they are playing cover songs or originals. They know how to work a crowd like any hit artist or band and the people love them.

They have performed with Toby Keith, Lee Ann Womack, Joe Nichols, Gary Allan and the list goes on and on. They recently played at the Cadillac Ranch in Music City. It was a virtual standing room only crowd and they brought down the house. To say the people loved them is a serious understatement.

Shilo is not a good band; they are a Great Band. All the guys have a good repoire which accounts for their longevity as professional musicians. They recently debuted with their first hit radio single; "DODGIN' A FORD IN MY CHEVROLET". The song was recorded in Hendersonville in the famed Project Room Studio and sent out to country radio. It climbed to the number one spot on the Independent Charts and received critical acclaim from a number of sources. They received major airplay throughout the nation and internationally. Their second single ( A Pick Up In My Pickup ) is out to radio and is apparently climbing the charts faster than their first release!

Shilo fills a void in today's country music scene that has long been empty. They have a unique niche and it is their's Alone. They can be "country to the bone" when belting out a stone cold ballad, and they can "smoke the rubber" with a dance floor rocker! Nobody in today's country music scene does it like Shilo. The industry would do itself and country music fans a grave injustice if Shilo is not given the opportunity to become bigger and better than ever."

Shilo music video Dodg’n a Ford (in my Chevrolet) is in post production now.

The video started Saturday morning August 30th in the small town of Topeka, Indiana!  This is deep in the heart of Amish country.  Note the TelXtra in Mike Stoner's hands.  Thank you Mike for playing a !

The primary location was at the Topeka Pharmacy, which is pretty much a general store...doubling as an old time Five and Dime.

On Sunday August 31st, Indy Films shot the band footage. Chuck Budreau of Indy Films says "These guys were great… they put up with all of the hurry-up and wait that comes with any shoot, without any complaints. As a film crew we’re used to this kind of thing taking way longer than anyone would ever guess. These guys were pros!"

Chuck said it was a long hot weekend but lots of fun and hard work.  The video is now in the hands of the producers awaiting approval of the edit.  We will be sure to provide details of release when the video is available.
