I
have been building and selling one of a kind guitars a couple of
years. I have been tinkering with my guitars, their setup,
sound enhancements and electronics all my life. I started
playing when I was about 9 years old. I recall my brother Richard
wanting another guitarist in his band of the day..they put out a
sound something like a cross between The Rolling Stones and Kinks
with quite a dash full of beginner band geeks! The name of my own very first band was
"The Open Ends". Through my school years I was in bands such as
"Contents Under Pressure", "24 Hour Towing Service", "Family", "The
Hat's", and "Buck's Band" in Mclean, VA area playing
across the river in Georgetown. Today in Clearwater / Tampa
Bay Florida I still play out, mostly as a solo guitarist or joining
in a jam with the local bands. It's all fun today. While in
Charlottesville, VA during my mid 30 and 40's I played in the
area that UVA's Hoo's call the corner at most of the establishments
like the Baja Bean and with various bands.
My most favorite moment in guitar history life for Guy, was playing
in Nelson County, south of Charlottesville in a open air concert
with
5,000
in attendance. It was thrilling as I was the show's MC and played
with my Cousin "Johnny D" and close friend Sal Milione as well. A
great remembrance of a few years back.
